Originally established as Mughalpura Technical College and later renamed Maclagan Engineering College, it has grown from a small technical school into a world-class research university. Located on the historic Grand Trunk Road near the Mughal-era Shalimar Gardens, the university transitioned into its current status in 1961 and was formally renamed UET in 1972. Undergraduate Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum 60% marks in F.Sc (Pre-Engineering/ICS) or DAE.
- Appearance in the ECAT entry test for the relevant session.
- Achievement of at least 50% overall adjusted aggregate (70% Academic, 30% ECAT).
- Possession of a valid Punjab Domicile for merit-based seats.
- Meeting the university?s physique and eyesight medical standards.
