About PIPS Education Network
Pakistan International Public Schools and Colleges (PIPS) are English-medium institutions founded by the Pakistan Education Association, a government-registered body in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK). Established in Abbottabad in 1983, PIPS began with classes Prep to VI and expanded to F.Sc. and Senior Cambridge by 1989. Over the years, PIPS has grown to operate across multiple cities, including Gujranwala, Gujrat, Mansehra, Swabi, and Mirpur.
Vision, Mission, and Leadership
PIPS is committed to delivering affordable quality education while nurturing essential skills in students to help Pakistan achieve international recognition. The institution envisions producing highly qualified individuals grounded in ethical integrity, nationalism, religious values, and equipped with skills to thrive globally. Its mission emphasizes critical thinking, digital literacy, and adaptability to prepare students for a rapidly evolving world.
Education at PIPS focuses on mental, spiritual, and physical development, including personality and character building. The school provides a structured environment and resources to maximize learning and holistic growth. Guided by the blessings of ALLAH (SWT) and active parental support, PIPS strives for the success and well-being of its students.
The institution was founded by the late Brig. (R) Ijaz Akbar, a distinguished educationist with military and academic experience in Pakistan and the UK. His vision of cultivating excellent Muslims with strong nationalism and honesty continues to guide PIPS. Currently, the schools are managed by his sons and a younger generation bringing modern innovation and digital strategies, while preserving the core values of the founder.
PIPS campuses are led by experienced principals with strong academic and administrative backgrounds, ensuring high standards across all branches. From Abbottabad to Mirpur, the leadership team brings decades of experience, combining expertise from military, educational, and corporate sectors to deliver a comprehensive learning environment.
