Founded in 1966 as a pioneering private commerce institute, Government Islamia College of Commerce, Lahore, has evolved into a premier public sector institution. Nationalized in 1972, the college found its permanent 50-kanal home in Allama Iqbal Town in 1987. Throughout its history, the college has maintained a stellar academic record, marked by numerous university-level positions and Gold Medals in accounting. Since gaining affiliation for M.Com in 1992, the institution has continuously modernized, introducing BBA programs in 2019 and expanding into diverse fields such as Computer Science, E-Commerce, and Statistics.
