Formally established in Karachi in 1945 and named after Sir Hugh Dow, the Governor of Sind, the college was later elevated to university status in 2004. Admission Requirements
Eligibility Standards
- MBBS/BDS: Minimum 65% in HSSC Pre-Medical and valid MDCAT score (50-55% minimum).
- BS/Pharm-D/DPT: Minimum 60% in HSSC (Pre-Medical) or IBCC equivalent.
- Entrance Exam: At least 50% score required in the DUHS Entry Test for merit consideration.
- Masters (MS/MPhil): 4-year Bachelor's degree with 2.5 CGPA and passing GAT-General (50%).
- PhD: MS/MPhil degree with 3.0 CGPA and passing GAT-Subject (60%).
